Pomario: The Family's Olive Oil And Wines. Owned by the Counts Spalletti Trivelli, Pomario winery is located near Perugia in the municipality of Piegaro, not far from Monteleone di Orvieto on the border between Umbria and Tuscany.
The vineyards of Pomario yield two organic wines: a red, Sariano, awarded the silver medal at the 2014 Decanter World Wine Awards, and a white, Arale. Soon a rosé and a botrytised wine will also be part of the line. Both wines were rated two glasses in the Gambero Rosso Guide. Pomario’s olive grove yields an organic extra virgin olive oil, which was given the prestigious recognition of three leaves in the Gambero Rosso Guide in 2014.
